AI Incentives for cultural projects have been launched by the Cultural Development Fund in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. This initiative represents the first track under the Nama Incentives program. Consequently, it aims to support cultural projects in priority areas aligned with national objectives. The program focuses on micro, small, and medium-sized businesses seeking to adopt advanced technologies. By providing financial support, the initiative helps these enterprises build capacity for long-term growth.

Funding Details and Eligibility

Eligible projects can receive financial support of up to SAR500,000 to develop and adopt technological solutions. This funding helps businesses integrate modern systems into their daily operations. Furthermore, the initiative aims to maximize the economic and social impact of these projects. The Cultural Development Fund designed this track to ensure long-term sustainability across the creative economy. As a result, local businesses can improve their competitiveness in the regional market.

Focus Areas of the AI Incentives

The program focuses on supporting projects across six key areas within the cultural sector. Specifically, these areas include creativity and production, heritage preservation, and content development. In addition, the track covers cultural experiences, project management, and intellectual property governance. These targeted areas will accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across the cultural value chain. Consequently, the initiative supports the broader digital transformation of the cultural sector.

Strategic Partnerships for Digital Growth

The initiative builds on a trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Development Fund, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority. This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies. Meanwhile, the Quality of Life Program also supports this initiative as part of Saudi Vision 2030. These organizations seek to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness across the sector. Moreover, this partnership aligns with the Year of AI initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

“The launch of this track reflects our strategic commitment to enabling the cultural sector to use advanced technologies as a driver of growth. We believe that integrating these technologies into cultural projects will unlock valuable products and services.”
