Bosch Home Comfort Group highlighted the operational capabilities of this variable refrigerant flow system as regional temperatures rise. The system is designed to maintain stable indoor comfort under high-ambient conditions.
According to technical specifications, the T3 model of the **air365 Max VRF** system maintains approximately 90% of its cooling capacity at 46°C. Furthermore, it retains 85% of its capacity at 48°C compared to its nominal capacity at 35°C. Under specific temporary operating conditions, the system operates in temperatures up to 54°C.

Performance of the air365 Max VRF
The system combines a new heat exchanger with gas-injection scroll compressor technology to support cooling in demanding climates. Consequently, this combination helps the system manage high-ambient temperatures. It is manufactured and sold under the Hitachi Cooling & Heating brand by Bosch Home Comfort Group, which operates in the global economy.
Direct Capacity Control Technology
To manage part-load operations, the system utilizes SmoothDrive 2.0 direct capacity control technology. This technology combines temperature sensing with precise compressor control to reduce on/off cycles. As a result, it helps maintain stable indoor temperatures. During testing, SmoothDrive 2.0 demonstrated 39% less energy consumption at 33% part-load operation, showing how smart devices can optimize power usage.
System Design and Installation Limits
The system offers a single-module capacity of up to 22HP and combined configurations up to 88HP. In addition, it supports indoor unit connection ratios of up to 200% for applicable capacities. The installation limits allow piping lengths of up to 200m and height differences of up to 110m. External static pressure settings reach up to 80Pa, which allows outdoor units to be placed in ventilated machine rooms.
Digital Tools for Maintenance
Digital apps support the commissioning and operation of the **air365 Max VRF** system. Specifically, the airCloud Tap application uses near-field communication (NFC) technology to access operational data and speed up configuration. Meanwhile, the airCloud Pro application allows building managers to monitor and control system status and schedules remotely.
