The newly opened AKDITAL Olaya Hospital in Riyadh has commenced operations following regulatory approvals from the Ministry of Health, marking the start of the Moroccan healthcare group’s services in Saudi Arabia. The opening transitions the organization from its initial planning and development phase into active clinical operations within the capital city.
Facilities and Capacity at AKDITAL Olaya Hospital
The healthcare facility occupies more than 17,600 square metres in the Olaya district. It provides a total capacity of 140 beds alongside more than 50 specialised units, 11 operating and procedure suites, over 30 intensive care beds, and an emergency department equipped with 18 beds designed for rapid response.
Furthermore, the facility houses an advanced imaging and diagnostic centre equipped to support complex clinical workflows. Patients can access specialized care across multiple disciplines, including cardiology, oncology, haematology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dialysis, diabetes management, and dedicated women’s health services within the modern health tech infrastructure.
Strategic Investment and Vision 2030 Alignment
The launch of AKDITAL Olaya Hospital serves as the initial phase of a comprehensive SAR 5.3 billion investment programme scheduled through 2030. The Moroccan provider plans to build an integrated network of medical facilities in major metropolitan areas, supporting private sector participation under Saudi Vision 2030 and expanding regional economy initiatives.

International Expansion from Morocco to Saudi Arabia
This opening represents AKDITAL’s first operational site outside Morocco, where the listed healthcare company currently manages 45 healthcare facilities across 25 cities. Consequently, Riyadh serves as the central operational hub for the company’s international healthcare strategy and regional service delivery model.
Dr. Talib stated that the organization intends to extend operations to Makkah, Jeddah, and Madinah in subsequent development stages. This expansion strategy focuses on adapting clinical models to local patient requirements while modernizing administrative services and healthcare apps ecosystems across participating medical centres.

Looking ahead, AKDITAL Olaya Hospital establishes an operational benchmark for cross-border private medical investment between Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
