Almosafer ChatGPT integration marks a first for Saudi Arabia, as the travel company officially launched its consumer services on the ChatGPT platform on April 8, 2026, becoming the first application from the Kingdom to offer travel services through OpenAI’s global artificial intelligence interface.

The launch gives users access to Almosafer’s inventory of over 1.5 million hotels directly through the Almosafer App within ChatGPT. Travellers can search for properties, receive hotel recommendations, and build multi-city itineraries using natural conversation in both Arabic and English.

How the ChatGPT Travel Experience Works

The integration replaces traditional menu-based search with a conversational interface. Users describe their travel needs in plain language, and the AI returns contextual results. Specific requirements, such as family-friendly properties or hotels near local landmarks, are handled within the dialogue without additional filtering steps.

From initial trip inspiration through to final booking and payment, the entire planning process takes place inside the ChatGPT platform. The app is live and available to users as of the announcement date.

Almosafer ChatGPT Integration: CEO Statement

“Being the first app in Saudi Arabia to launch on the ChatGPT platform is a landmark achievement for Almosafer and the Kingdom’s digital economy. Our priority has always been to simplify travel through innovation, and by bringing our services to this AI platform, we are making travel planning more accessible and intelligent than ever before. We are proud to lead this charge in Saudi Arabia, ensuring we embrace the future of AI.”

Muzzammil Ahussain, Chief Executive Officer, Almosafer Travel & Tourism Co.

Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030

Almosafer said the initiative directly supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals by advancing digital transformation and positioning the Kingdom as a centre for advanced technology and tourism services. The company operates across several travel verticals, including corporate travel management, Hajj and Umrah services, and a joint-venture activities marketplace with Klook.

Discover Saudi, the Kingdom’s destination management company under the Almosafer group, handles inbound travel, tour operations, and MICE services. Mawasim, another subsidiary, provides end-to-end Hajj and Umrah travel arrangements for international agents.

Context: Generative AI in Saudi Travel

The move places Almosafer among a small group of regional companies building direct integrations with large language model platforms. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, has seen rapid adoption across industries since its public launch. Almosafer’s entry into the platform signals growing interest from Saudi travel and tourism operators in deploying generative AI at the consumer level.

The company said the bilingual capability, supporting both Arabic and English, is central to the product’s design for the Saudi and broader Middle Eastern market. No pricing changes or subscription requirements for the ChatGPT-based service were disclosed in the announcement.
