According to a report by The Verge, the unit processes video feeds directly on the local network using a proprietary large language model developed by the manufacturer.

Hardware Specifications and Anker MindBase Architecture

The system operates as a central controller equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, and Zigbee radios. Consequently, users can bridge disparate hardware into a single management platform. Furthermore, the appliance functions as a certified Matter 1.5 controller that communicates with more than 40 device categories across the smart devices ecosystem, including smart lighting, climate sensors, and automated HVAC units.

Privacy Architecture and Local Data Storage

Privacy protection serves as a core functional element of the system architecture. By keeping video analysis within the local local area network, the Anker MindBase avoids sending sensitive surveillance streams to external servers. This design builds upon an earlier shift toward local storage and end-to-end encryption across the company’s security hardware catalog. The platform also applies local artificial intelligence analysis to detect movement, identify objects, and organize recorded video archives.
