Saudi artificial intelligence company HUMAIN is collaborating with NVIDIA to support the future of autonomous mobility in Saudi Arabia.

The collaboration, announced on June 1, 2026, at NVIDIA GTC Taipei, aims to deploy robotaxis across the Kingdom. Consequently, this initiative expands the global footprint of NVIDIA’s self-driving platform into the Middle East.

The DRIVE Hyperion Platform

The partnership uses the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform to build level 4-ready transportation systems. Specifically, this production-ready reference platform combines sensors, compute systems, and software to operate vehicles without human drivers.

The hardware configuration features two NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor systems-on-a-chip on a single board. In addition, the platform includes a sensor suite with 14 high-definition cameras, nine radars, one lidar, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. This setup provides the necessary redundancy for safe level 4 operations.

Expanding Autonomous Mobility in Saudi Arabia

The deployment of artificial intelligence in transportation represents a major shift for regional infrastructure. Meanwhile, HUMAIN plans to use this technology to establish operational scale for autonomous mobility services.

Amin also stated that the partnership is a step toward realizing the Kingdom’s ambitions in digital infrastructure. Furthermore, the company aims to connect digital and physical systems at a national scale.

Infrastructure and Energy Foundations

To support these computational demands, HUMAIN is building AI factories in Saudi Arabia. These facilities will have a projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts over the next five years.

The data centers will use several hundred thousand NVIDIA GPUs to process driving data. Notably, the National Infrastructure Fund is supporting this expansion with up to $1.2 billion in financing.

According to Amin, Saudi Arabia offers abundant power resources exceeding 15 gigawatts at competitive prices. As a result, these energy advantages reduce the total cost of ownership for data infrastructure by 20% to 30%.

Strategic Goals and Vision 2030

The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on economic diversification away from hydrocarbons. Previously, in May 2025, HUMAIN secured 18,000 NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell chips to accelerate its computing capabilities. This chip acquisition supports the broader plan to develop up to 250 megawatts of AI data center capacity.

While other global regions like Taiwan and Southeast Asia are also deploying these platforms, Saudi Arabia represents a key Middle Eastern hub. Ultimately, the integration of level 4 vehicles will establish new standards for regional transit.
