Dahua Technology presented its smart transportation systems at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 on March 17, 2026, displaying solutions designed to improve road safety, streamline traffic management, and support sustainable urban mobility.
Keynote Address on AI and Traffic Management
Wang Jun, General Manager of the ITS Product R&D Department at Dahua Technology, delivered a keynote titled “AI Empowers Smarter, Safer, and More Sustainable Traffic.” Wang said that artificial intelligence and large models enable traffic management to evolve from passive monitoring toward more proactive and predictive operations. He stated this shift helps cities optimize road resources, improve road safety, and enhance travel efficiency for residents.
Smart Transportation Systems: Xinghan 2.0 Large AI Model
Among the key exhibits, Dahua Technology featured the Xinghan 2.0 large AI model, which integrates three series: the V-series focused on vision, the M-series for multimodal fusion, and the L-series for language understanding. This AI engine combines real-time video, traffic, and regulatory data into an intelligent loop of perception, analysis, decision-making, and control. The architecture enables automated incident detection, optimized signal control, precise law enforcement, and reduced false alarms across complex road environments.
Dahua also demonstrated the enhanced Video Radar Fusion technology VRF2.0, which combines radar and optical data to address traffic bottlenecks and misidentification issues. The company stated the system significantly reduces setup time while maintaining accuracy in challenging scenarios.
Key Products on Display
The exhibition featured three primary smart devices within the intelligent video systems lineup. The Bisight X dual-spectrum radar camera series monitors driver behavior and road conditions, capturing high-quality evidence with all-weather module reliability. The Spotter Ultra system provides 24-hour, eight-lane detection of speeding and traffic violations with a complete evidence chain, suited for complex intersections. The iPatrol smart light bar converts law enforcement vehicles into mobile AI centers, integrating 360-degree perimeter surveillance for dynamic roadside enforcement.
Traffic Efficiency and Sustainable Mobility Solutions
Beyond enforcement, Dahua Technology presented solutions targeting traffic flow and travel experience. The intelligent traffic signal control system uses AI video and radar fusion to adapt signals dynamically, reducing congestion and delays. Smart highway systems integrate weigh-in-motion capabilities, video management system alerts, and AI incident detection to improve flow and safety over long distances. Smart parking solutions, built around Dahua’s automatic license plate recognition cameras and a unified platform, simplify parking operations and expand service ecosystem capabilities.
The company highlighted completed deployments, including an AI traffic management system for the Second Penang Bridge in Malaysia and the first smart signal network in San Francisco de Campeche, Mexico. Both projects demonstrated measurable improvements in monitoring, enforcement, and congestion reduction. Dahua also presented smart electric vehicle charging solutions at the event, reflecting the company’s efforts to support greener transport ecosystems.
