The newly opened DP World Riyadh warehouse marks the company’s first multi-client third-party logistics facility in Saudi Arabia. Notably, the 15,250 square-metre facility provides more than 17,000 pallet positions. This expansion aims to support businesses serving the growing consumer and industrial sectors across the Kingdom’s economy.
Strategic Location and Regional Connectivity
The facility gives customers direct access to major transport corridors linking Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region. Operating as a non-bonded warehouse, it allows customs-cleared goods to move directly into the domestic market. Consequently, this setup helps reduce lead times and improve inventory availability for local businesses.
Operations at the DP World Riyadh warehouse
The DP World Riyadh warehouse offers storage, inventory management, import consolidation, and distribution services. Specifically, the facility supports several sectors including consumer goods, industrial goods, automotive, retail, and technology. Storage areas can also be configured for temperature-controlled conditions as customer demand develops.
Executive Perspectives on Logistics Growth
“Supply chains today require greater flexibility, visibility and speed. This facility gives customers access to scalable warehousing and distribution services that help optimise inventory, improve fulfilment and respond more effectively to changing market demand.”
Mohammad Alshaikh, CEO of DP World KSA
Raveen Guliani, COO of Logistics at DP World GCC, stated that Saudi Arabia is among their fastest-growing logistics markets. Furthermore, he noted that customers are looking for partners that can connect warehousing, transportation, ports, and distribution. This facility strengthens the regional footprint to support cargo flows between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and global markets.
Expanding the Saudi Logistics Network
This new development complements existing operations in Dammam and represents another step in building a national logistics network. In addition, the company continues to invest in the Kingdom through other major infrastructure projects. These include the expansion of the Jeddah South Container Terminal and the development of the Jeddah Logistics Park.
The Riyadh facility aligns with the ongoing supply chain infrastructure investments under Saudi Vision 2030. Meanwhile, the $250 million Jeddah Logistics Park, spanning 415,000 square metres, remains the company’s largest integrated facility in the Kingdom. Through these combined assets, the company continues to connect Saudi Arabia with regional and international markets.
The DP World Riyadh warehouse operates as a key component of this expanding domestic network. As a result, businesses can access scalable storage and distribution services through a single integrated provider. This integration helps local industries manage their supply chains more efficiently while supporting overall economic growth.
