A female leadership panel took centre stage at Fairmont Riyadh on March 8, 2026, as the hotel marked International Women’s Day with a structured discussion in its Mecca Meeting Room. The event brought together executives, advocates, and community leaders to examine the role of women in shaping Saudi society.

The gathering was organised in collaboration with three organisations: Alnahda Society, Art of Heritage, and Saut: The Voice of Down Syndrome Society. Each partner contributed a distinct perspective on women’s contributions to entrepreneurship, cultural preservation, and community advocacy.

Opening Remarks and Event Structure

Dr. Miznah Alomair, CEO of Alnahda Society, delivered the opening address. Her remarks framed the evening’s discussion around leadership, entrepreneurship, and community-building initiatives. Three speakers then guided the conversation, drawing on personal experience and professional insight.

Hala Al Rasheed, Senior Advocacy Specialist at Alnahda Society, addressed the evolving role of women in Saudi Arabia. She highlighted the importance of building supportive networks that encourage participation and professional growth. Alnahda Society is a nonprofit founded in 1962 that focuses on the social and economic empowerment of women.

HRH Princess Nourah Alfaisal, CEO of Art of Heritage, spoke about women’s role in preserving cultural identity through creativity and storytelling. “International Women’s Day is all about recognising and celebrating the contributions of women in Saudi Arabia and across the world. As hoteliers, it’s our responsibility to create spaces where important conversations around leadership, empowerment, and inclusion can take place.
