Moscow, Russia — Vnukovo International Airport has inaugurated the first regular direct route between Moscow and Riyadh, operated by Flynas, a leading Saudi airline. The new connection strengthens air links between Russia and Saudi Arabia, opening fresh opportunities for business, tourism, pilgrimage, and cultural exchange.
With Moscow added to Flynas’s international network, Saudi travelers gain seamless access to Russia’s capital, while passengers from Moscow benefit from a convenient option to the Kingdom and the wider Middle East. According to the Moscow City Tourism Committee, visits from Saudi Arabia to Moscow in 2024 were 5.7× higher than in 2023, reaching 52,400 visitors—reflecting growing interest from the Kingdom.
The route launch aligns with Moscow’s outreach in the Middle East and supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals for travel and investment. To better serve GCC visitors, many Moscow hotels now offer halal dining and prayer facilities, supported by a guide featuring 30+ halal-friendly restaurants across the city. Combined with Moscow’s mix of historic landmarks, modern leisure, and year-round events, the new service makes the city more accessible than ever to Saudi travelers.
The Moscow–Riyadh connection is expected to boost tourism flows, facilitate trade and investment, and deepen bilateral relations—with Flynas and Vnukovo positioned as key enablers of this growing corridor.
