In addition, participants discussed extensive implementation updates regarding the Gulf Cybersecurity Strategy Execution Plan covering the 2024 to 2028 operational cycle. Officials assessed ongoing joint projects and initiatives to guarantee that strategic milestones remain strictly on schedule across all member countries throughout the multi-year implementation roadmap.
Role of the GCC Cybersecurity Committee
Established in 2021, the GCC Cybersecurity Committee holds an annual ministerial conference to address evolving regional security requirements. The specialized ministerial body works to harmonize defense policies, enhance coordination efficiency among member nations, foster technical integration, and represent collective Gulf interests within international cybersecurity organizations and global standard-setting forums.
Delegates at the fifth session also examined an official GCC General Secretariat report documenting progress made on resolutions passed during earlier ministerial gatherings, tracking institutional compliance and collaborative achievements across the Gulf states.

The ministerial committee reviewed preparations for the launch of the first season of the Cyber Gulf podcast.
