The Global Expert Community has been launched by the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) to accelerate international digital cooperation and advance digital initiatives. Announced on June 11, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the new platform aims to mobilize global expertise across member states and other regions.
This initiative reflects the organization’s efforts to expand access to specialized knowledge and strengthen collaboration across borders. As digital transformation continues to reshape global economies, the platform brings together practical expertise to support sustainable digital growth. Consequently, the platform will serve as a central hub for international digital cooperation.
Objectives of the Global Expert Community

She added that bringing together experts from various sectors and regions aims to encourage collaboration and support the development of practical solutions. These solutions are expected to drive measurable impact through international digital cooperation.
Priority Areas of Focus
The platform supports expertise across several priority areas within the digital economy. Specifically, these areas include artificial intelligence, digital trade, digital investment, and data infrastructure. Furthermore, the community will focus on digital talent, emerging technologies, and cybersecurity.
Experts in the community will participate in strategic discussions, capacity-building initiatives, and advisory contributions. In addition, they will develop practical knowledge resources to support decision-making. Participation is voluntary, and applications are open to professionals from government, academia, and the private sector.
Participation and Application Process
The general secretariat is currently accepting applications for the inaugural roster of the community. Consequently, researchers, specialists, and industry leaders can apply to contribute to the future of the digital economy. The organization continues to work with governments and civil society to promote digital inclusion and cross-border data flows.

Founded in 2020, the Digital Cooperation Organization is an international intergovernmental organization focused on digital economy growth. Notably, the organization represents 16 member states with a combined gross domestic product of nearly 3.5 trillion dollars. Meanwhile, its collective market reaches over 800 million people, with more than 70 percent under the age of 35.
The organization holds observer status with the United Nations General Assembly and other global bodies. Through these relationships, it facilitates coordinated digital policies across borders. In addition, the organization works to support women and youth while assisting entrepreneurs and small to medium enterprises.
