Google Lyria 3, Google DeepMind’s latest generative music model, is now available in Arabic beta on the Google Gemini website, the company said on February 19, 2026. The model will roll out gradually to mobile users over the following days. All Gemini users can access the feature at no additional cost.

Users describe what they want to hear in a text prompt, such as “an upbeat, modern Arabic fusion track for Ramadan.” Gemini then generates a 30-second audio track within seconds. Each track includes custom cover art produced by the Nano Banana image generation model.

How Google Lyria 3 Works: Three Input Formats

Google Lyria 3 supports three distinct input methods for music creation. Users can choose the format that best fits their creative intent.

  • Text to track: Users describe a genre, mood, or theme. Gemini generates a track with lyrics or instrumental audio matching the description. An example prompt is: “Create a track about my favorite meal my mom used to make, it was made of rice and beans. Surprise me!”
  • Photo or video to track: Users upload an image or video. Gemini analyzes the content and composes a track with lyrics that match the mood. An example prompt is: “Use these photos to create a track about my cat Katkoot on a hike in the mountains.”
  • Ramadan greeting cards: Users access ready-made templates at goo.gle/ramadancards, powered by the Nano Banana model, to generate personalized Ramadan cards in English and Arabic.

SynthID Watermarking and Content Safety

All tracks generated through the Gemini app carry SynthID, Google’s imperceptible watermark for identifying AI-generated content. Users can upload any audio file and ask Gemini whether Google AI produced it. Gemini checks for SynthID and applies its own reasoning to return a response.

Google also stated that music generation with Google Lyria 3 targets original expression rather than artist imitation. If a prompt names a specific artist, Gemini treats the name as broad creative inspiration and generates a track sharing a similar style or mood. Filters check all outputs against existing content.

Ramadan Greeting Cards via Nano Banana

In addition to music, users can generate personalized Ramadan greeting cards through a dedicated microsite. The site at goo.gle/ramadancards is available in both English and Arabic. Cards can be downloaded instantly and shared with friends and family.

The Nano Banana model handles image generation and editing for the greeting card templates. Google positioned the feature as a seasonal tool for personal expression during Ramadan, rather than a professional design service.

Availability and Access

Google Lyria 3 is accessible to all Gemini users worldwide through the Gemini website as of February 19, 2026. Mobile availability will expand gradually over the next few days following the initial web launch. The Arabic language support remains in beta at the time of launch. Generated tracks can be downloaded or shared directly via a link within the Gemini app.
