The defense technology company HAVELSAN has successfully completed verification testing during the NATO CWIX 2026 coalition interoperability exercise in Poland. Specifically, four software capabilities from the company achieved validation under the official certification process. Consequently, these systems have advanced within the alliance’s framework for joint operations.

HAVELSAN Capabilities in NATO CWIX 2026

The validated systems include DOOB-HQ, KAPI, and Embedded NONC2 ATA DLP. These solutions completed dedicated testing to verify their interoperability with the Federated Mission Networking (FMN) specifications during NATO CWIX 2026. Meanwhile, this verification serves as a prerequisite for participation in alliance missions scheduled between 2025 and 2027.

Notably, the testing evaluated these systems against the FMN Spiral 4 specifications. This process confirms the technical readiness of the software solutions for active deployment. In addition, the company has participated in this annual exercise since 2012 to test its command and control systems.

Scale of the Interoperability Exercise

The training event took place from June 6 to June 26, 2026, bringing together more than 3,000 personnel and 780 systems. Representatives from 46 countries, including member states of the European Union, participated across 20 capability focus areas.

Furthermore, HAVELSAN deployed 43 personnel and 16 distinct systems to the event. The company operated across multiple focus areas, including tactical data links, cyber defense, and modeling and simulation. Specifically, several systems debuted in new focus areas, including the LYNX system in air and IC SENTINEL in the cybersecurity domain.

Historical Testing Milestones

The company has a long history of testing its apps & software solutions at this annual event. For instance, the company validated its DOOB and KÂŞİF systems in 2019. Later, it achieved validation for the ADVENT combat management system in 2023.

Subsequently, the KARTAL system passed testing in 2024, followed by six systems including OCTOPUS in 2025. Therefore, the latest successful tests represent a continuous effort to align national technologies with international military standards.

Future Integration and AI Plans

The successful validation of these systems reinforces the company’s position in the international defense market. Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar, the General Manager of the company, stated that the results confirm their expertise in developing compliant systems.
