The new autonomous procedures are available within HPE Mist and HPE Aruba Central platforms, marking HPE’s delivery on its vision of fully independent networks supported by artificial intelligence agents.

The autonomous networking capabilities build on a microservices-based architecture, independent agents, and advanced agent networks. This approach enables networks to transition from providing insights and analytics to true self-operation, with the ability to address issues before they impact revenue, operations, or brand reputation. HPE is enhancing its autonomous networking platform through several new self-operating procedures supported by independent agents and artificial intelligence agent technology within both HPE Mist and HPE Aruba Central.   • VLAN misconfiguration self-healing is a reliable autonomous procedure that automatically fixes virtual local area network configuration errors at the access layer, preventing data traffic interruptions.
  • Rogue DHCP server protection detects and addresses unauthorized DHCP servers to reduce external security risks and prevent user connectivity loss.
  • Dynamic frequency selection in real time enhances artificial intelligence-supported radio resource management through adaptive learning and avoids connection problems on frequently affected channels.
  • User mobility insights ensure seamless transitions between access points through device connectivity and location analysis.

Both HPE Mist and HPE Aruba Central platforms benefit from integrated open roaming technology, reducing costs and operational complexity while enabling cybersecurity-focused access to Wi-Fi networks across locations without repeated login, protecting users through authentication mechanisms. Additional announcements include simplified granular segmentation providing unified policies for wired and wireless networks applicable consistently across distributed organizations without network redesign, and real-world testing capabilities for network access control policies to verify effectiveness before deployment, reducing risk and enabling zero trust adoption.

Dual-Platform Wi-Fi 7 Access Points Now Available

HPE announced in December the availability of dual-platform artificial intelligence-powered Wi-Fi access points now in general availability. The HPE Networking 723H access point delivers artificial intelligence-supported telemetry for autonomous networks in a design suitable for hospitality deployments. These devices represent the first HPE Networking products operating within either HPE Mist or HPE Aruba Central platforms. HPE also introduced two financing programs to accelerate network transformation: a 10 percent discount on data center networks directing organizations toward artificial intelligence workloads, and interest-free financing for subscription-based HPE Networking programs, including HPE Juniper Networking Mist.
