HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250, a new memory-intensive database server, has been released to support complex and critical business workloads. The server targets organizations running SAP applications, including enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems that require high-speed transactions and real-time analytics.

Built on Intel Xeon 6 processors, the HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250 provides up to 64TB of DDR5 memory, making it the first SAP BW Edition HANA-certified scale-up server with a minimum of 48TB memory capacity. The server supports between 4 and 16 processor sockets, allowing organizations to run financial services applications, databases, and core systems simultaneously without infrastructure constraints.

“The HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250 elevates critical infrastructure standards for enterprises by supporting complex business applications,” stated Christa Satherwaite, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Compute at HPE. “Through simplified operations, consistent reliability, and security extending from silicon to cloud, we are redefining scalability for uninterrupted workloads.”

Performance and Architecture Highlights

The server features a dedicated external node controller that delivers performance 100 times faster than standard Ethernet used in large-scale deployments. This architectural advantage enables faster data processing for memory-intensive applications. The HPE Compute Scale-up Server represents the first scale-up system from HPE equipped with Intel Xeon 6 processors and features a modular design suited for compute-intensive workloads and emerging agent-based artificial intelligence applications.

Kelvork Keshishian, Vice President and General Manager of the Data Center Group at Intel, stated, “Our partnership with HPE continues to shape the future of memory-dependent critical computing. The HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250 with Intel Xeon 6 processors delivers exceptional compute density, scalability, and reliability to help enterprises run their most mission-critical and data-intensive workloads.”

Multi-Layer Security and Reliability Features

The server provides built-in protection through HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO) technology, which extends across all layers from silicon to cloud throughout the server’s full lifecycle. The HPE iLO technology delivers hardware-rooted trust via a dedicated security processor and certified firmware, strengthening defense against emerging threats using quantum-resistant encryption techniques.

Operational reliability features include advanced memory error detection and correction capabilities, automatic fault handling, and memory reinitialization functionality. The server design ensures continuous operation, delivering the highest availability levels for mission-critical workloads without interruption.

SAP RISE Platform Leadership

The HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250 succeeds the HPE Scale-up Server 3200, representing the next generation of Intel-based scale-up systems. HPE was recently ranked as a leader in the IDC MarketScape assessment of global SAP HANA-certified hardware and server providers for 2026. This long-term collaboration between HPE and SAP, combined with continuous engineering investments, has positioned HPE as a leading provider for the SAP RISE platform. The new server reinforces this standing by achieving record-breaking performance for large-scale memory-dependent systems.

Availability and Financing

The HPE Compute Scale-up Server 3250 is available now through HPE Financial Services’ 90/9 Advantage program, which provides customers with a 90-day grace period followed by 9 additional months at 1% interest.
