Saudi artificial intelligence company HUMAIN has partnered with Applied Intuition to deploy autonomous trucks across commercial freight corridors in Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh-based firm, owned by the Public Investment Fund, plans to establish an expansive freight transport network by 2030. Under the agreement, the two companies will build a unified autonomous logistics network at a national scale. The project involves deploying thousands of self-driving commercial vehicles on major transport routes. Applied Intuition System Architecture
Applied Intuition, based in Sunnyvale, California, provides specialized software for automotive and industrial sectors. The technical setup relies on the company’s Self-Driving System, which currently operates in Level 4 commercial vehicles in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Consequently, the firm will supply its Vehicle OS software and integrate vehicle intelligence platforms directly into the local fleet.
Deploying Autonomous Trucks by 2030
The deployment plan prioritizes long-haul transport routes before expanding into broader industrial applications. Consequently, operating autonomous trucks at national scale will help test automated commercial operations across varied terrains. The partners confirmed that initial efforts focus entirely on freight, with future phases targeting mining, ports, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and robotaxis.
