IKEA Saudi Arabia has signed a landmark three-year agreement with HITEK AI to deploy the SAFETEK digital platform across all its operations in the Kingdom and Bahrain. The partnership marks a significant advancement in the retail giant’s commitment to digitally transforming its Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) governance framework.
The agreement, signed on January 28, 2026, between HITEK AI—a part of the Farnek group of companies—and Ghassan Ahmed Al Sulaiman Furniture Trading Co. (IKEA Saudi Arabia and Bahrain), will see the full deployment of HITEK’s flagship HSSE platform across IKEA’s regional network. This comprehensive digital transformation initiative will enable real-time reporting, analysis, and compliance management throughout all IKEA locations in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Manama.
Comprehensive Digital Safety Solution
Under the agreement, HITEK AI will deliver its cloud-based SAFETEK web platform and mobile applications for both iOS and Android devices. The deployment includes fully integrated modules covering incident reporting and investigation, auditing and inspections, corrective actions, risk assessment and management, safety policies and procedures, training and education, safety equipment and resource management, monitoring and compliance, communication and reporting, documentation and record-keeping, safety observations and emergency preparedness, as well as comprehensive dashboards and reports.
IKEA Saudi Arabia HSSE Framework Development
Beyond system deployment, HITEK AI will conduct a complete diagnosis, development, and delivery of IKEA Saudi Arabia’s HSSE Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). These comprehensive guidelines will cover employee well-being, workplace safety, food safety, emergency preparedness and response, physical security, and environmental sustainability. The outcome will be a structured, compliant HSSE framework aligned with IKEA’s internal governance standards and all relevant Saudi regulatory requirements.
