OMODA & JAECOO has introduced its new intelligent parking technology, known as Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP), to address parking challenges in the UAE. The system aims to simplify parking in busy shopping malls, underground garages, and multi-level facilities. Consequently, drivers can exit their vehicles before the system parks itself.
This development is part of the brand’s broader strategy in the automotive sector. Specifically, the system allows users to manage their vehicles remotely. Drivers can use a dedicated mobile application to assist the vehicle in parking or to summon it back to a designated pick-up point.
SIVP System Capabilities
The intelligent parking technology operates within supported parking facilities to assist throughout the entire parking process. Unlike conventional systems that only help during the final maneuver, SIVP moves through the environment and identifies suitable spaces. Furthermore, it completes the maneuvers and returns the vehicle to the driver.
For motorists in the UAE, this system provides practical benefits during high summer temperatures. It reduces the time spent searching for spaces in large outdoor areas. In addition, the technology simplifies parking in narrow spaces and complex layouts, which reduces driving stress.
Sensor Integration and Safety Features
This intelligent parking technology combines software with an advanced perception system comprising 27 sensors. These sensors include LiDAR, cameras, millimeter-wave radars, and ultrasonic sensors. Together, they provide 360-degree environmental awareness to detect obstacles and pedestrians.
Safety remains a primary focus of the system. It incorporates obstacle avoidance, pedestrian detection, and remote video monitoring. Meanwhile, drivers can monitor the vehicle via their smart devices and remain ready to take control. SIVP is classified as a Level 2 assisted driving feature.
Regional Testing and Local Feedback
The UAE is among the first markets selected to experience SIVP. Earlier this month, the company hosted an exclusive preview for UAE owners. These customers experienced the technology firsthand and provided feedback to refine the user experience.
The feedback will help the company prepare the system for its official market activation. This initiative aligns with the brand’s focus on localizing its digital services. Users can access these features through updated mobile apps designed for regional drivers.
Future Outlook for Intelligent Parking Technology
OMODA & JAECOO plans to expand its mobility portfolio in the region. The company will host the AI Smart Cockpit Night event in Indonesia at the end of July 2026. During this event, the new OMODA 4 model will make its official debut.
The OMODA 4 is scheduled to launch in the UAE towards the end of 2026. This model will bring the latest cockpit systems to local customers. As a result, the brand continues to expand its digital mobility options in the Middle East.
