The Lexus IS350 has arrived in the Middle East, marking the latest update to the compact rear-wheel-drive sports sedan that first debuted in 1999. Lexus said the central development theme for this update is “maturation,” focusing on refining the driving experience and sharpening the model’s design character.
Lexus IS350 Performance and Steering Upgrades
The Electric Power Steering system receives a revamped variable gear rack, enabling more precise path tracing with reduced steering input at intersections and through successive corners. Meanwhile, the Adaptive Variable Suspension system is improved to deliver a higher balance between vehicle stability and reduced road-surface shock, maintaining the direct driving feel Lexus describes as its “Driving Signature.”
Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance Features
The new IS350 advances the Lexus Safety System + with expanded safety and driver assistance functions. Notably, the update introduces Lexus Teammate Advanced Drive, an enhanced driver assistance system that supports highway driving and aims to make long-distance travel more comfortable.
Exterior Design and Color Options
The IS350 receives a redesigned front face that emphasizes a low center of gravity and wide stance. The F SPORT model adds a newly designed rear spoiler for improved aerodynamic performance, along with 19-inch lightweight aluminum wheels. Furthermore, the exterior color lineup expands to eight options, including the new Neutrino Gray, a hard-toned light gray with metallic highlights.
Interior Cockpit and Multimedia System
Inside, the center display is enlarged to 12.3 inches, and the TFT LCD instrument cluster in front of the driver also measures 12.3 inches. Both screens are positioned to align with the driver’s natural line of sight, supporting real-time decision-making. In addition, the interior features newly developed “Forged Bamboo” ornamentation on the upper console and start switch bezel, creating a layered visual depth effect. A new interior color called Prominence, inspired by solar flares, is also introduced.

Muto also said that the model’s evolution is driven by attention to detail in the redesigned interior, advancements in preventive safety technologies, and the integration of the latest multimedia system.
