Lexus has officially unveiled the Lexus LFA Electric Concept as an all-electric Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for the first time globally. This debut reflects the conviction of Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, that essential automotive craftsmanship and technologies must be preserved for future generations.

Engineering Excellence Built on Japanese Heritage

The vehicle development follows the principle of “Ikinen Sengu,” a traditional Japanese ritual focused on skills transmitted through generations. This approach represents Lexus’s commitment to inheriting and evolving expertise rather than merely transferring it.

The design team built the Lexus LFA Electric concept on three fundamental pillars: a low center of gravity, lightweight construction with high-rigidity body, and maximum aerodynamic performance. Advanced BEV platform technologies begin with a lightweight all-aluminum chassis, achieving an ideal driving position that enhances driver-vehicle unity.

The immersive cockpit merges high dynamic performance with sculptural beauty. The steering wheel and button layout enable intuitive control, making operation a natural extension of the driver’s consciousness. The car adopts aluminum structure from the GR GT platform while maintaining fluid lines from front to rear.
