LG Electronics has expanded its local HVAC manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia by launching a new production line for the LG MULTI V S system. This development follows the previous production of the MULTI V 5 system which started in 2023. Consequently, the company aims to meet the growing demand for cooling solutions in the Saudi market. The initiative represents a long-term commitment to expanding manufacturing capabilities within the Kingdom.
Expansion of Local HVAC Manufacturing in Riyadh
The new Variable Refrigerant Flow system is manufactured at the LG-Shaker facility in Riyadh. Notably, this facility serves as a key hub for producing cooling technologies within the Kingdom. Meanwhile, the expansion helps increase local content across strategic industrial sectors. This development supports the ongoing construction and urban development projects across Saudi Arabia.

Specifically, the new system features a 40 percent smaller footprint and is 23 percent lighter than conventional outdoor units. As a result, developers can install the units in compact mechanical spaces such as balconies. Furthermore, the system supports up to 16 indoor units across various capacities. This provides developers, consultants, and contractors with greater flexibility in design and space utilization.
Operational Efficiency and Climate Adaptation
The system utilizes the R1 Compressor to deliver high efficiency under partial-load conditions. This technology is particularly suitable for the climate of Saudi Arabia, where cooling demands vary throughout the year. In addition, the system uses Smart Load Control to monitor temperatures and adjust airflow automatically. This technology maintains occupant comfort while avoiding unnecessary cooling.
