LG Electronics has launched its new mid static ducted unit, an HVAC solution designed for residential and light commercial spaces. The company introduced this system to expand its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning portfolio. Consequently, this release aims to provide consistent climate control in areas where ceiling space is limited.
This product represents the latest addition to the company’s climate control lineup. Specifically, the system targets markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Meanwhile, the launch aligns with the growing demand for compact and efficient cooling systems in modern buildings.
Design and Installation Flexibility
The system features a height of 245 millimeters and a depth of 692 millimeters. Additionally, it offers a capacity range of 5 to 54 kBtu/h, which allows for installation in narrow ceiling spaces. Users can choose between rear and bottom air intake options depending on their specific installation requirements.
Maintenance is simplified through side and bottom service access points. Furthermore, the system includes an Auto External Static Pressure control. This technology automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the duct length to maintain consistent airflow.
The Mid Static Ducted Unit Performance
To deliver high airflow, the mid static ducted unit utilizes a hybrid sirocco fan. This component combines the design elements of sirocco and turbo fans to minimize operational noise. Notably, the system operates at a minimum noise level of approximately 20.5 decibels.
This noise level is quieter than a typical library environment. In addition, the system incorporates Dual Band Acoustic Meta Structure technology. This design feature further reduces sound emissions during operation to ensure a quiet indoor environment.

Durability and Hygiene Features
The unit is equipped with a high-efficiency brushless direct current motor. This motor uses high-viscosity lubrication to reduce mechanical wear over time. Moreover, a double-coated shaft protects the motor components from corrosion.
For water drainage, the system includes a built-in direct current drain pump with a lift of up to 900 millimeters. The heat exchanger features a corrugated fin structure to improve drainage efficiency. Additionally, antimicrobial protection is provided by Safe Plus Insulation along the airflow path.
Smart Control and Temperature Management
Users can manage the system remotely through the LG ThinQ mobile application. This app allows users to control power, adjust temperatures, select operation modes, and set schedules. These apps and smart devices integrations provide modern management options.
The system also features a dual temperature sensing system. Sensors located in both the indoor unit and the remote controller analyze temperature variations. Consequently, the system automatically selects the optimal control point to maintain balanced indoor conditions.
“The new mid static ducted unit brings together compact design, high performance, durability and smart control technologies to bring ‘Comfort Anywhere’ across residential and light commercial spaces.”
James Lee, President of the LG Eco Solution Company
The mid static ducted unit will be available starting in August 2026. The initial rollout will cover key markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. This release marks a continuation of the company’s expansion in the global HVAC sector.
