LG Electronics has expanded its lifestyle screen lineup with the launch of the StanbyME 2 Max, a movable 32-inch personal display.

The company stated that this new model offers a larger screen and higher resolution compared to its predecessor. This device belongs to the growing category of portable smart devices designed for flexible home entertainment.

Technical Specifications of the StanbyME 2 Max

The StanbyME 2 Max features a 32-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. This represents a significant hardware upgrade from the previous 27-inch QHD screen that offered 2560×1440 pixels. Consequently, the new display delivers clearer and richer visuals for users watching media or working.

The screen is powered by the new Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen3, which uses artificial intelligence to optimize picture and sound. Specifically, the processor includes AI Picture Pro to add depth and AI Super Upscaling to refine textures. Additionally, the built-in speakers use AI Sound Pro to deliver a virtual 11.1.2 channel surround sound experience.

Audio and Visual Technologies

To enhance the viewing experience, the display supports Dolby Vision for improved brightness and contrast. Meanwhile, Dolby Atmos provides multi-dimensional audio with rich details through the integrated sound system. These technologies helped the device earn an innovation award in the content and entertainment category at CES 2026.

Furthermore, the device offers access to various streaming services and applications, including LG Channels. Users can also access LG Gallery+, which provides more than 5,000 artworks to display when the screen is idle. This platform allows the display to serve as a visual element within home interiors.

Portability and Power Options

The display can be attached to or detached from a wheeled docking stand, allowing users to move it between rooms. Users can rotate the StanbyME 2 Max between horizontal and vertical modes to suit different types of content. In vertical mode, the screen functions as a large touch display for mobile-style apps and video calls.

For power, the device contains a built-in battery that provides up to 4.5 hours of continuous video playback. This battery can be recharged through the docking stand or via a USB-C port located on the detachable screen. As a result, users can operate the screen in both indoor and outdoor environments without a direct power connection.

Global Availability and Software Features

The manufacturer is rolling out the new display globally in phases, with specific market availability varying by region. In addition to media consumption, the touchscreen interface supports interactive applications such as drawing and web browsing. This makes the device suitable for diverse activities ranging from kitchen recipe viewing to home workouts.

“The lineup continues its evolution with the StanbyME 2 Max, which features its largest screen yet and upgraded picture quality for more engaging and convenient user experiences.”
