The Marketing Skills v2.0.1 update is now available, introducing refreshed content across three skill sections and integrating four community pull requests. The release is a content patch with no breaking changes, according to the developers. The Marketing Skills project provides a comprehensive set of tools for digital marketers, all accessible via the npx command.

Marketing Skills v2.0.1 Update Highlights

The Marketing Skills v2.0.1 update revamps the /ai-seo skill to align with Google’s official AI optimization guide. New topics include Query Fan-Out, Agentic Experiences, and guardrails labeled “What NOT to do.” The update also reframes the llms.txt specification, stating that while Google does not require it, models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity reward its use. These changes ensure marketers have the latest best practices for AI-driven search optimization.

Image and Video Model Lineups Updated

The /image skill now covers the May 2026 model lineup, including Gemini Nano Banana Pro, Flux Pro 1.1, Ideogram 3.0, ChatGPT Images 2.0, Midjourney v7, Recraft V3, and SD 3.5. Meanwhile, the /video skill lists Veo 3, Sora 2, Runway Gen-4, Kling 2.5/3.0, Seedance, Hailuo, Pika 2.x, Hunyuan, and Wan 2. These updates reflect the latest advancements in generative AI for visual content creation.

Community Contributions Integrated

Four community pull requests have been merged into the Marketing Skills v2.0.1 release. These include Cogny, a hosted MCP gateway for marketing channels; RankParse, which provides agent-friendly SEO data; Exa, offering neural web search for agents; and the addition of ChatGPT Images 2.0 to the /ad-creative skill. Cogny simplifies integration with various marketing channels, RankParse delivers SEO data optimized for AI agents, and Exa enables agents to retrieve relevant information via neural search. The ChatGPT Images 2.0 integration expands the /ad-creative skill’s capabilities.

The update brings the total skill count to 40, with 83 tool integrations. The project remains free and open source, available via the command: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills. This content refresh keeps the project up to date with the rapidly evolving marketing technology landscape, benefiting from community contributions and remaining freely accessible to all users.
