The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with EY and Microsoft, has launched the EY Microsoft AI Skills Passport program. This initiative is delivered through the National eLearning Platform, FutureX, which is an initiative of the National eLearning Center. The program is designed to prepare participants for the future of work by enhancing their digital capabilities. Notably, this collaboration aims to accelerate the readiness of national talent in the Kingdom.

Overview of the AI Skills Passport

The AI Skills Passport initiative provides an integrated digital training experience that introduces participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. It covers essential digital literacy, ethical considerations, and practical applications of modern technology. Furthermore, the curriculum aims to build a strong foundation in digital skills while helping students understand how these technologies are applied across various sectors. This structured approach ensures that learners can transition smoothly from basic concepts to advanced applications.

Core Curriculum and Technical Concepts

The structured learning journey begins with basic technology and programming concepts before moving into business applications. Specifically, the program focuses on core technical ideas, such as distinguishing between hardware and software and understanding their roles in digital systems. In addition, participants will explore programming languages, development paradigms, and the role of artificial intelligence in software creation. This technical foundation is crucial for understanding modern digital systems.

Sustainability and Career Readiness

Beyond technical skills, the training covers how artificial intelligence supports sustainability, entrepreneurship, and information technology. It also emphasizes career planning and professional readiness for the modern workforce. Consequently, the applied learning experience is designed to encourage digital thinking and innovation among participants, aligning their skills with current labor market demands. This focus helps prepare students for diverse career paths in the evolving digital economy.

Program Access and Registration

The FutureX platform enables organizations to deliver digital education and expand access to learning opportunities. This program is open to all students aged 16 and above as part of efforts to raise awareness and develop national talent. The training is scheduled to begin on February 26, 2026, and interested individuals can register for the AI Skills Passport through the official registration link.
