Abudawood, a Saudi Arabian business leader with over three decades of experience in trading, manufacturing, and distribution, has been appointed Chairman of the Board at Merit Incentives Group, a global engagement and loyalty technology company operating in more than 100 countries.

Abudawood founded multiple enterprises including Abudawood Trading Company in the retail sector, the Ecolab Institutional Distribution Business, and Abudawood Industrial Company in the Royal Commission of Yanbu. He also served as General Manager of two Clorox USA-Saudi joint ventures for over 20 years, overseeing regional expansion, marketing, sales, and logistics operations.

Leadership Background and Governance Experience

Beyond his corporate roles, Abudawood has held positions as Chairman and Board Member of multiple public and private institutions. He served on the Jeddah City Council and the board of the Harvard University Institute for Social and Economic Policy in the Middle East. He completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development in 1991.

As Chairman, Abudawood will lead the advancement of Merit’s governance frameworks, foster strategic partnerships, and guide merger and acquisition activity to support the development of a more scalable platform for global expansion.
