The company conducted testing across various Saudi environments, including desert, mountain, and coastal terrain.
According to Nissan, the development program involved more than 5,000 engineers and designers. The testing included over 100,000 kilometers of durability assessments, 50,000 kilometers of performance evaluations, and approximately 255 hours of desert driving simulations tailored to Gulf region conditions.
Three-Model Lineup Targets Different Segments
The complete Patrol lineup now available in Saudi Arabia includes the standard model, the PRO-4X variant designed for off-road use, and the NISMO version featuring enhanced performance specifications. The NISMO model was developed exclusively for the Middle East market.
Nissan also conducted promotional activities in Saudi Arabia, including test-drive experiences in the Red Sea region and a collaboration with Visit Saudi in the Asir region. These events demonstrated the vehicle’s capabilities across different terrain types.
Vision 2030 Alignment
The company stated that its expanded presence in Saudi Arabia aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. However, the connection between automotive sales and specific Vision 2030 initiatives was not detailed in the announcement.
The Patrol has been available in the regional market for over 70 years. The current generation features NissanConnect technology and integration with Google Automotive Services, following 1,400 work hours of testing across 3,200 screens and software layers, according to the company.
