NVIDIA RTX Spark is a new superchip designed to power personal artificial intelligence agents on Windows personal computers.

NVIDIA and Microsoft announced the hardware collaboration at the GTC Taipei event on May 31, 2026. The platform aims to transition personal computers from simple tools into active digital teammates.

This new hardware architecture integrates several proprietary technologies to support advanced computing tasks. Specifically, the system combines graphics processing with deep learning capabilities to run large language models locally. Consequently, users can process complex workflows without relying on external cloud servers.

Introducing NVIDIA RTX Spark

The NVIDIA RTX Spark superchip features an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores. Additionally, it includes fifth-generation Tensor Cores and a high-performance, 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU. These components connect via the NVLink-C2C interconnect to deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI performance.

Technical Specifications and Architecture

MediaTek collaborated on the custom CPU design to optimize power efficiency and connectivity. Furthermore, the chip supports up to 128GB of unified memory to handle demanding local processing. As a result, creators can render 90GB 3D scenes and edit 12K video files.

Security Framework for Personal Agents

Microsoft and NVIDIA developed new cybersecurity primitives alongside the OpenShell runtime to protect user privacy. Notably, this framework allows users to define strict boundaries for local agent operations. Meanwhile, the system can disguise personal information before sending queries to cloud-based models.

Software Integration and Market Availability

Software developers like Adobe are rearchitecting apps to run natively on the new hardware. Specifically, Photoshop and Premiere will deliver up to two times faster performance using the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform. Moreover, game developers are integrating technologies like DLSS 4.5 to enhance real-time rendering.

Laptops and compact computers featuring the superchip will launch this fall from manufacturers including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI. Acer and GIGABYTE will release compatible models at a later date. Consequently, consumers will have multiple hardware options for local AI deployment.
