Grinding Gear Games has launched a free weekend event for Path of Exile 2 alongside a limited-time discount.
The event runs from May 29 to June 1, 2026, Pacific Daylight Time. Meanwhile, players can access the new content expansion titled Return of the Ancients during this period.
Free Weekend and Supporter Pack Discount
The developer is offering a 50 percent discount on the Early Access Supporter Pack from May 29 to June 12, 2026. This purchase grants full access to the game and provides 150 points for the in-game store. Consequently, users can test the game on PC, Steam, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store. PlayStation players can also access the discount.
New Content in Path of Exile 2
The Return of the Ancients expansion introduces the Runes of Aldur challenge league. Specifically, players can complete eight in-game challenges to earn cosmetic items. These rewards include the Knight of Aldur Armor Set and a totem decoration for player hideouts. Notably, these microtransactions are purely cosmetic and do not affect character power in any way.
Endgame Updates and Ascendancy Classes
The update reshapes the endgame experience with powerful new Uniques alongside expanded crafting systems. Furthermore, players can explore a redesigned Atlas Tree. These classes are the Martial Artist and the Spirit Walker, which offer distinct playstyles. Additionally, the expansion adds a Build Planner to assist players with character progression.
Discord Quest Integration
Players can participate in a Discord Quest. To qualify, participants must play Path of Exile 2 for at least 15 minutes. This quest is active from May 29 at 10:00 AM to June 5 at 5:00 PM PDT. Users can accept the quest by selecting the option under the shop section. However, players must track progress on desktop.
