The newly introduced Plaud One earbuds provide automated meeting documentation and call transcription through built-in artificial intelligence processing. The wearable hardware, officially named the Plaud One Explorer Edition, captures audio through either standard earbud use or directly via its dedicated charging case, according to reporting by The Verge.

Each earbud contains 16MB of local storage, giving a combined total of 32MB across both units. In addition, each earpiece integrates three microphones capable of recording audio at distances up to two meters. The earbuds offer up to six hours of continuous recording battery life, alongside active noise cancellation and force sensors built into the stems for tactile control.
Meanwhile, the standalone charging case expands these physical capabilities for varied environments. It houses four directional microphones with an extended five-meter range, an integrated speaker, 512MB of internal storage, and a battery that provides up to 36 hours of total operating time with USB-C charging.
Independent Connectivity and Cloud Processing
Unlike accessories that require a paired smartphone nearby, users can operate the Plaud One earbuds via the case using built-in 4G cellular telecommunications hardware. This allows the system to upload recordings and generate summaries independently without requiring an active Wi-Fi or phone connection.
This standalone operational architecture enables users to capture conversations in settings where carrying or operating a mobile phone is impractical. By decoupling the hardware from constant smartphone tethering, audio captured by the device can be processed and stored autonomously in the cloud.
Software Integration and Productivity Tools
The transcription pipeline runs on Plaud Intelligence software, designed to structure notes and capture speaker intent. A dedicated physical AI button located on the case triggers the Plaud Agent system. Furthermore, this software layer communicates directly with popular work tools, syncing notes and tasks into apps such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack.
Through these automated software integrations, the generated summaries, action items, and meeting transcripts are transferred into existing workflow platforms, eliminating the need to manually export audio recordings or re-enter notes across separate tools.
