The latest PUBG Mobile update introduces a collaboration with the anime series Naruto Shippuden, bringing new gameplay modes, locations, and character outfits to the mobile game.
Available until September 7, 2026, the version 4.5 update features the ‘Naruto: Assembly of Shinobi’ mode across the Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok maps. Players can explore recreated locations from the series, including the Hidden Leaf Village, Hokage Rock, and Ichiraku Ramen. The update also introduces combat encounters with rebel ninjas and the character Kurama, the Nine-Tails, starting July 9, 2026.
Players can use various ninjutsu abilities such as the Rasengan, Chidori, and Shadow Clone techniques, which unlock in phases between July 9 and July 14. Notably, starting July 14, players in the Chunin Exam Arena can activate these abilities using voice commands in supported languages. The collaboration also includes character outfits for Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi, alongside an original animation produced by Studio Pierrot.
Features of the PUBG Mobile update
Beyond the anime collaboration, the PUBG Mobile update expands the ‘World of Wonder’ creative mode with Naruto-themed templates and a new PC-based editor. This editor allows creators to design and edit maps directly on computers. Additionally, Chapter 33 of the ‘Metro Royale’ mode launches on July 10, 2026, introducing Kurama challenges and a new legendary melee weapon.
Home Mode and Gameplay Adjustments
The ‘Home’ mode receives a coastal-themed style called ‘Oyster Bay’ along with home design contests and voting systems. General gameplay adjustments in version 4.5 include a fast swimming mechanic, weapon balancing for the ACE32, and improved handling for the Monster Truck vehicle. Players can also participate in Season 31 and the Ultimate Royale mode.
Ferrari Collaboration and Prize Pools
A partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP will also launch on July 10, 2026, with further details to be announced. The update features an in-game prize pool with rewards valued at over $600, alongside a $100,000 cash prize event for inviting players and a $300,000 prize pool for user-generated content contests.
Future Outlook and Availability
This PUBG Mobile update remains active until September 7, 2026, on both the App Store and Google Play Store as part of the platform’s apps ecosystem. The integration of voice-activated mechanics and cross-platform editing tools represents a shift in how mobile devices run interactive battle royale games. The developers stated that local interactive events will also launch globally to support the release.
