Pudu Robotics unveiled its AI cleaning robots series, the PUDU BG1, on March 25, 2026, positioning the lineup as the world’s first large-scale AI-native scrubbing and drying robots. The Shenzhen-based company said the BG1 series targets retail complexes, warehouses, industrial facilities, and transportation hubs. The launch completes Pudu’s cleaning portfolio alongside the existing PUDU CC1 and PUDU MT1 series.

AI Cleaning Robots Built on a Native AI Architecture

The BG1 series departs from traditional automated cleaning robots that follow pre-programmed commands. Instead, the robots integrate artificial intelligence across the full perception, decision-making, and execution cycle. A dual-chip computing platform with an AI-enhanced processing unit enables millisecond-level responses to environmental recognition, debris assessment, and operational adjustments.

Pudu Robotics said the hardware foundation allows the BG1 to overcome computational bottlenecks common in conventional equipment. The robots draw on data streams from an integrated 3D perception system to make real-time operational decisions without human input.

Three Core Capabilities of the AI Magic Cleaning System

The company describes the central intelligence layer as the “AI Magic Cleaning” system, which coordinates three core capabilities. First, AI-driven spot cleaning uses wide-field vision and AI vision to detect and target debris in real time, ensuring high-traffic environments stay clean without waiting for a scheduled cycle. Second, an AI-based automatic dosing system uses dual independent 7-liter agent tanks with milliliter-level precision, automatically adjusting chemical ratios based on dirt type and intensity. Third, an AI adaptive mechanism detects dry and wet debris in real time, retracting cleaning modules to prevent wet spill spread and increasing brush pressure for stubborn stains.

Extendable Edge Brush and Integrated Sweep-Scrub System

The BG1 series features an extendable edge cleaning brush, which Pudu Robotics said is a first for commercial smart devices in this category. The brush cleans walls and shelving, eliminating the blind spots common in large traditional cleaning robots and reducing the need for manual follow-up cleaning. Moreover, an integrated sweep-and-scrub system combines a front sweeping module for dry debris collection with a rear scrubbing module for deep cleaning, enabling simultaneous dry and wet cleaning in a single pass.

Navigation relies on a fusion of LiDAR and Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM) in 3D, delivering high-precision mapping and dynamic obstacle avoidance. The system maintains stable operation in high-ceiling facilities, low-light environments, and areas with high signal interference.

One-Minute Maintenance and 24/7 Autonomous Operation

Pudu Robotics designed the BG1 series to minimize operational downtime. Automatic disc and brush installation eliminates manual positioning and setup. Furthermore, a tool-free design for all consumables means routine maintenance, including brush and pad replacement, completes in under one minute without specialized technical expertise.

A comprehensive workstation supports fully autonomous water exchange, charging, and self-cleaning cycles. Pudu Robotics said this closed-loop system keeps the robot on standby 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing a non-human solution for high-intensity cleaning requirements. The series also features a stackable ride-on mode, allowing operators to switch quickly to manual riding for repositioning or emergency intervention.

The BG1 series makes its global debut in April 2026 at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta, Hall A, Booth A5527, and at Interclean Amsterdam, Hall 7, Booth 320. Pudu Robotics said both events will showcase the full AI cleaning matrix and the complete range of autonomous solutions. The company built the BG1 on algorithms and operational data accumulated from the CC1 and MT1 series deployed across more than 80 countries and regions.
