Qiddiya Investment Company and Google Cloud announced an expanded partnership on May 18, 2026, to establish the digital foundation for one of the world’s largest entertainment projects. The Qiddiya Google Cloud collaboration will leverage Google Cloud technology to power Qiddiya City, a 360-square-kilometer entertainment destination roughly three times the geographic area of Paris.

Qiddiya’s projects represent a key pillar of Saudi Vision 2030, the strategic framework launched in 2016 to reduce Saudi Arabia’s reliance on oil and diversify the economy. While flagship destinations like Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia are now open to the public, Qiddiya City continues its expansion to integrate professional sports stadiums, gaming districts, and arts venues into one unified entertainment ecosystem.

Digital Foundation and AI-Powered Operations

Through strategic systems integrator Master Works, Qiddiya will deploy Google Cloud’s data and artificial intelligence technologies to power city operations. The partnership focuses on providing instant insights into construction milestones, visitor demand patterns, and real-time operational efficiency. By analyzing critical metrics as they occur, Qiddiya operates as a fully responsive smart city, reducing time-to-insight from weeks to minutes.

Abdulrahman Alali, chief technology officer at Qiddiya Investment Company, said the goal is to create a seamless digital experience that connects Qiddiya City with the growing nationwide entertainment portfolio. “By combining Google Cloud’s technology with Master Works’ integration expertise, we are establishing a data-driven foundation that turns a massive project into a manageable, intelligent reality for both operators and visitors,” Alali stated.

The collaboration centers on three technological pillars to achieve Qiddiya’s vision. First, an AI Factory enabled by the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform serves as a dedicated innovation hub designed to build and scale custom AI frameworks. This hub translates visitor behavioral, spending, and movement patterns into insights that drive tailored guest experiences, moving beyond generic automation to predictive crowd management.

Second, Agentic AI through Q-Brain, Qiddiya’s proprietary artificial intelligence platform, will evolve into an active operational partner. Harnessing Gemini models, Q-Brain empowers leadership and staff with real-time intelligence and autonomous task execution, streamlining decision-making across the destination.

Third, a Unified Data Platform built on BigQuery serves as the central data repository, consolidating data from all entertainment destinations. This platform provides high-speed processing required to operate a smart city at scale and ensures every asset is digitally optimized.

When completed, the destination is expected to attract over 40 million visitors annually and become home to half a million people.
