Sandisk Extreme PRO memory cards represent the latest professional memory card innovations introduced at NAB 2026, including a new generation Sandisk Extreme PRO CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card and updated Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II V60 and V90 Cards with new 2TB capacity and faster speeds.
Production workflows increasingly demand higher capacities and sustained performance as video capture moves into 6K, 8K, and high-bitrate formats. The new cards address these requirements by reducing interruptions on set and enabling longer recording sessions without frequent card swaps.
Sandisk Extreme PRO CFexpress 4.0 Type B Card
The latest CFexpress card delivers up to 3700MB/s read and 3500MB/s write speeds, with sustained performance designed for video capture. With capacities up to 4TB, it supports longer recording sessions and high-speed capture in up to 12K resolution.
Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II V90 Card
Built for higher-end production, the V90 cards support 8K video and sustained high-speed capture, with capacities up to 2TB. A single 2TB card can store over 1,118 minutes of 8K video at 30fps. The card features read speeds up to 310MB/s and write speeds up to 305MB/s for 512GB-2TB capacities.
Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II V60 Card
With capacities scaling up to 2TB, the V60 lineup targets prosumers and professional shooters capturing 6K video and stills. The cards now offer up to 300MB/s read and 250MB/s write speeds for 256GB-2TB capacities, enabling longer shoots without frequent card swaps.
Storage Solutions for Professional Workflows
The expanded capacity options across all three card lines reflect industry shifts toward higher storage demands. Professional videographers and content creators can now maintain consistent performance throughout extended shooting sessions, particularly when working with high-resolution video formats that require sustained write speeds and minimal latency.
Each card type serves different production tiers. The CFexpress 4.0 targets broadcast and cinema production, the V90 addresses high-end professional work, and the V60 serves prosumers and independent creators. The tiered approach allows professionals to select cards matching their specific workflow requirements and budget constraints.
