Sandisk announced the launch of its dedicated SANDISK NAS SSDs designed for modern network-attached storage environments. The release includes the SANDISK NAS 600 SATA SSD and the SANDISK NAS 800 NVMe SSD. These drives target prosumers and small businesses managing multi-user collaborative workloads on private cloud systems.

The company introduced the new storage portfolio to address the increasing demand for fast, reliable data management. Users running demanding applications require solid-state drives that can handle continuous operational cycles. As a result, the new drives offer high endurance ratings and expanded capacity options for computing hardware setups.
Technical Specifications of the NAS 600 SATA Model
The SANDISK NAS 600 SATA SSD serves creative professionals modernizing storage by replacing mechanical drives or adding a fast cache tier. Specifically, the 2.5-inch 7mm drive fits standard 3.5-inch drive bays that support 2.5-inch solid-state media. It delivers sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s without mechanical noise. In addition, the 4TB variant provides an endurance rating of up to 2,500 Terabytes Written (TBW) alongside a mean time to failure (MTTF) of up to 2.25 million hours. Capacities range from 500GB up to 4TB.
High-Performance Features of the NAS 800 NVMe Model
For all-flash and hybrid setups running critical workflows, Sandisk developed the SANDISK NAS 800 NVMe SSD. Built on the PCIe 5.0 interface in an M.2 2280 form factor, it utilizes SANDISK TLC 3D NAND flash memory. The drive achieves sequential read and write speeds up to 14,900MB/s and 13,200MB/s respectively on the 1.92TB model. Furthermore, random speeds reach up to 2.3 million read IOPS and 2 million write IOPS on the 3.84TB capacity. Endurance reaches up to 14 Petabytes Written (PBW) on the 7.68TB version. These capabilities support virtualization, databases, content creation, and artificial intelligence workloads.
