ServiceNow announced the acceleration of its Autonomous Security vision on August 5, 2026, during an event in Las Vegas. The company introduced six unified solutions designed to deliver prevention-first, AI-native cyber defense across enterprise environments. These tools aim to help organizations manage exposures and detect vulnerabilities at machine speed.
ServiceNow Accelerates Autonomous Security Vision
This shift toward Autonomous Security aims to achieve zero exposure by securing every system, identity, and agent in real time. The average enterprise currently runs more than 70 security tools, which often fragments critical insights across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. Consequently, the company consolidated these functions into a single system to improve visibility and governance.
The new offerings include artificial intelligence Specialists that complete security workflows without manual intervention. Specifically, the Vulnerability Resolution AI Specialist orchestrates triage and executes low-risk patches at scale. Meanwhile, the system integrates data from Armis and Veza to feed the central orchestration layer.
Six Unified Solutions for Cyber Defense
The Autonomous Security framework covers six key areas including unified exposure management, continuous vulnerability detection, and cyber-physical security. In addition, the platform provides identity and access security, agentic incident response, and cyber risk compliance. These solutions help security teams govern code, cloud, and infrastructure risks from a unified platform.
For application security, the platform extends threat modeling to AI-generated code and model dependencies. Furthermore, the Dynamic Application Security Testing validates runtime vulnerabilities in live applications and APIs. The external attack surface management tool also surfaces infrastructure exposures as threat actors see them.
Addressing the Scale of Machine Identities
Security teams face growing challenges as machine identities double every 18 months. Yevgeny Dibrov, senior vice president and general manager of cybersecurity and risk at ServiceNow, stated that fragmented tools cannot match the curve created by artificial intelligence. He noted that organizations require governance that matches the velocity and unpredictability of incoming threats.
To address this, the AI Agent Access Security unifies access control for AI agents across different platforms. Additionally, the non-human identity remediation tool automates key rotation and revokes permissions across IT and OT networks. These automated workflows allow service accounts to operate under the same governance as human users.
Availability of the New Security Offerings
Several solutions, including Agentic Exposure Management and Application Security, are available immediately. However, other tools like the Tier 2 SOC AI Specialist and Cryptography Asset Compliance are expected to launch in December 2026. These upcoming releases will assist organizations in migrating legacy cryptographic algorithms to quantum-resistant standards.
