UAE telecom provider du, through its sub-brand du Tech, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Open Innovation AI to develop secure Sovereign AI infrastructure across the region. The agreement, signed in collaboration with the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC), aims to accelerate the deployment of Agentic AI workforces for government entities and enterprises.
The signing ceremony took place at the Digital Readiness Retreat 2026 in Dubai. Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer at du, and Dr. Abed Benaichouche, Co-Founder and CEO of Open Innovation AI, executed the agreement. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, attended the event to support the initiative. This collaboration aligns with national security priorities and digital transformation goals.
Integration of Hypercloud and GPU Orchestration
The partnership integrates du Tech’s National Hypercloud platform with Open Innovation AI’s GPU orchestration platform. Notably, the National Hypercloud recently received formal certification from the UAE Cyber Security Council. This integration allows public and private organizations to deploy autonomous Agentic AI workloads while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
By combining these technologies, both entities aim to address the growing demand for trusted, locally governed digital services. Meanwhile, the integration will allow organizations to scale their operations with enhanced speed and efficiency.
