OpenAI introduced GPT-Rosalind life sciences, a specialized AI model designed to accelerate life sciences research, drug discovery, and translational medicine. The model combines advanced reasoning with tool integration to help scientists work through complex research workflows faster.

Anthropic just paid $400 million for Coefficient Bio, a nine-person AI drug discovery startup that was only eight months old. The all-stock deal works out to $44 million per person.
