The latest TikTok safety report reveals the removal of 15,519,240 violative videos across the MENA region between January and March 2026. The platform released these figures as part of its Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, detailing moderation measures applied across eight regional markets including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Iraq, Morocco, Lebanon, and Sudan.
Regional Moderation Figures and Enforcement Metrics
According to the publication, Iraq recorded the highest volume of removed content with 5,253,566 videos taken down, alongside a 99.4% proactive detection rate. In Egypt, the company eliminated 3,612,773 videos, achieving a 99.6% proactive removal rate before user reports were filed. Meanwhile, enforcement actions in Sudan led to the removal of 1,382,832 videos with a 99.9% proactive rate.
In Saudi Arabia, 2,811,302 videos were removed during the first quarter of 2026, with 98.2% identified proactively and 92.8% addressed within 24 hours. The platform also reinstated 150,916 videos in the Kingdom after reviewing user appeals. Furthermore, 752,214 videos were removed in the United Arab Emirates, where 40,661 appeals were subsequently approved.
Live Streaming Interventions and Host Bans
Content moderation on live broadcasts expanded significantly during the same period. Globally, 50,791,858 live sessions were suspended, representing an 18.6% increase from the 42,822,827 sessions suspended in the fourth quarter of 2025. Additionally, 58,207,389 live sessions faced monetization removal or warnings worldwide, affecting 21,966,667 creators.
Across the covered MENA markets, the platform proactively interrupted 3,077,164 live streams and banned 530,510 hosts. Specifically, Saudi Arabia recorded 371,758 interrupted streams and 48,106 banned hosts. In Iraq, authorities at the platform stopped 1,149,253 live streams and issued bans to 186,997 live hosts for violating community standards.
TikTok Safety Report Highlights Account Removals
The published data in the TikTok safety report outlines global efforts to remove unauthorized accounts. The company deleted 86,288,705 fake profiles during the quarter to maintain authentic engagement. In addition, 25,764,372 accounts suspected of belonging to users under 13 years of age were taken down as part of age restriction policies.

Egypt followed with 146,417 restored clips, while Morocco registered 26,835 restored videos alongside 530,652 removals.
Lebanon recorded 926,006 video removals with 19,339 restorations, while Oman registered 249,895 removals and 7,416 restored items. Sudan recorded 25,045 restored videos following reviews. The findings demonstrate how automated systems and review teams operate together to enforce platform standards while maintaining appeal channels.
