The UAE Cyber Security Council and CPX Holding announced the launch of the UAE Cyber Factory on May 7, 2026, marking a strategic initiative to strengthen the nation’s digital defense capabilities. The initiative was unveiled at the fifth edition of the Make it in the Emirates exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
According to the UAE Cyber Security Council, the country recorded more than 800,000 daily cyberattacks in recent months. This surge in threats prompted the development of the UAE Cyber Factory as a response to increasingly sophisticated attacks targeting institutions and individuals across the nation.
UAE Cyber Factory Design and Capabilities
The UAE Cyber Factory will design, build, and scale next-generation cybersecurity capabilities through advanced programs, technologies, and systems powered by artificial intelligence. The facility functions as a sovereign integrated ecosystem, enabling the nation to maintain end-to-end ownership of its digital defenses while enhancing digital independence and strengthening readiness to counter emerging threats.
His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said, “The launch of the UAE Cyber Factory signals a new phase of leadership, positioning the UAE as a global hub for advanced cybersecurity and a digital power shaping the future of the industry.”
Strategic Partnership and Implementation
CPX Holding, a subsidiary of G42 founded in 2022 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, serves as the strategic partner for this initiative. The company employs over 600 cyber and physical security specialists serving enterprises, governments, and critical infrastructure sectors in the UAE and beyond.

UAE Cyber Security Council Overview
The UAE Cabinet established the Cyber Security Council in 2020 to support the nation’s commitment to achieving safer digital transformation. Headed by Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, the Council comprises federal and municipal authorities tasked with developing legislative and regulatory frameworks addressing cybersecurity issues, cybercrime prevention, and securing both current and emerging technologies.
