Vera BlueField-4 STX security innovations were announced by NVIDIA at the GTC Taipei event on May 31, 2026. These updates introduce secure-by-design storage capabilities specifically designed for agentic artificial intelligence factories. The technology aims to secure autonomous agents that retrieve and process business data.
Security Capabilities of Vera BlueField-4 STX
The platform uses a unified NVIDIA DOCA security stack to inspect and govern interactions between autonomous agents, data, and context memory. Consequently, this integration helps enterprises protect proprietary data as autonomous systems move into production environments. It treats storage as an active policy enforcement layer inside the data path.
Performance and Technical Specifications
The hardware delivers runtime threat detection up to 1,000 times faster than existing agentless solutions. Meanwhile, it supports network and file access enforcement at speeds of up to 800 gigabits per second. This speed ensures that security policies are enforced in silicon without slowing down data transfers.
This bandwidth is distributed across two 400 gigabits per second bi-directional links. Specifically, the system uses the DOCA framework to manage data processing units and network cards, isolating workloads from the main graphics processors. This architecture provides operators with tools to accelerate and isolate workloads.
Three Core Security Components
The security architecture relies on three distinct software components. First, the DOCA Vault microservices verify that only authorized workloads access specific files. Second, DOCA Argus monitors agent behavior and workload activity. Third, DOCA Flow isolates network traffic across multi-tenant environments to enhance cybersecurity.

Ecosystem Integration and Availability
Multiple cybersecurity and storage providers are developing platforms compatible with the new technology. Specifically, partners like Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Dell Technologies, and HPE are integrating these security features. These collaborations aim to bring secure storage solutions to enterprises globally.
The technology is integrated into the Vera Rubin platform, which is currently entering production across 350 factories globally. Finally, partners expect to ship systems based on the Vera BlueField-4 STX in the second half of 2026. This rollout will involve 150 supply chain partners in Taiwan.
In addition, global systems integrators including Accenture and Deloitte are working with NVIDIA to deploy these systems. These services will help businesses transition to autonomous AI operations safely.
