The Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform processed 50,815,790 electronic transactions for beneficiaries during July. This monthly operational total highlights ongoing engagement across government portals, according to figures published by Saudi Gazette.

Breakdown of Absher platform individual operations

Individual users accounted for the largest share of digital interactions recorded during the month. Specifically, the Absher Individuals portal handled 47,869,218 operations across its catalog of digital services. A significant portion of this activity involved identity verification and digital documentation.

Beneficiaries completed 37,089,458 document viewings through the built-in digital document wallet. This digital wallet feature remains accessible to Saudi citizens, expatriate residents, and international visitors across the Kingdom. In addition to document access, the Absher Reports service generated 161,932 official reports, while operational staff and systems processed 2,405 general inquiries regarding biometric fingerprinting procedures.

Business services and corporate operations

Corporate activity also represented a vital component of the monthly transaction volume. The Absher Businesses portal recorded 2,946,572 electronic transactions throughout July. These dedicated enterprise services allow private establishments, commercial firms, and corporate entities to manage their institutional requirements, licensing, employee permits, and vehicle records through national digital transformation tools.

Departmental activity and security directorates

Public security and administrative sectors logged millions of automated operations during the period. The General Directorate of Public Security handled a combined 3,636,963 operations across its divisions. Within this operational sector, the General Directorate of Traffic completed 3,535,290 transactions, representing one of the highest individual departmental totals recorded on the system.

Furthermore, the General Directorate of Passports carried out 2,740,550 procedures covering travel documents, residency renewals, and entry permits. In parallel, the Civil Status Agency under the Ministry of Interior registered 694,946 transactions, supporting essential population records, civil registry updates, and family documentation across Saudi Arabia.

Unified digital identity and access systems

The unified digital identity framework established under the Absher platform enables citizens, residents, and visitors to interact smoothly across multiple government branches. Registered users can navigate Absher Individuals, Absher Business, and Absher Government using a single set of secure electronic credentials.

In addition, these verified digital identities integrate directly with broader public and private sector systems via the National Unified Access Portal, known as Nafath. This interconnected digital ecosystem strengthens administrative efficiency by standardizing identity management, streamlining electronic government workflows, and reinforcing modern cybersecurity infrastructure nationwide.
