Tuwaiq Academy, in partnership with Google Cloud, has launched the AI & Cloud Champions program to develop digital skills in Saudi Arabia.
Launch of the AI & Cloud Champions Program
The program runs from June through December 2026. Specifically, it targets students, graduates, employees, tech startup entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the initiative focuses on expanding the local network of developers and tech professionals. This expansion helps build a sustainable talent pipeline.
Specialized Training and Resources
Participants will gain access to specialized training content and professional certification exams. In addition, Google Cloud provides hands-on sandbox environments and cloud service credits. A grant from Google Cloud’s economic and community development team supports the implementation of these resources. This funding ensures the program remains accessible to all qualified applicants.
The curriculum features three main tracks designed to strengthen skills in applying artificial intelligence within cloud computing. Furthermore, experts will lead a series of workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions. These sessions aim to enhance the technical expertise of all participants. They will cover practical applications of modern technology.
Support for Tech Startups
Notably, a dedicated track within the AI & Cloud Champions initiative will support more than 60 tech startups. These businesses will receive intensive sessions and practical consulting. As a result, this targeted support will help them advance their growth and development. It also connects them with industry experts.
Strategic Partnership and Future Outlook
This initiative builds on a strategic partnership between Tuwaiq Academy and Google Cloud. Last year, the two organizations launched a program that trained 3,000 developers in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. That previous effort included professional programs, a competitive hackathon, and multiple educational meetings.
