The AliExpress Summer Sale has launched in Saudi Arabia, offering selected deals of up to 80% off from June 1 to June 10, 2026. This event coincides with a rising demand for premium home technology and branded goods across the Kingdom. Consequently, the e-commerce platform is expanding its Brand+ channel to offer more authenticated global labels.
Consumer Spending Trends in Saudi Arabia
Recent consumer data from a YouGov survey commissioned by the platform highlights the diverse priorities of shoppers in the Kingdom. According to the survey, the top categories for online spending over the last three months were jewelry, accessories, smartphones, and automotive products. This trend indicates a growing consumer confidence in purchasing high-value items through Economy & Business channels.
Furthermore, the data reveals a balanced approach to online spending among Saudi consumers. While discretionary categories like jewelry and technology lead, essential categories such as groceries and home appliances remain strong. Notably, this mix demonstrates that online marketplaces are now integral to both daily household needs and lifestyle investments.
Features of the AliExpress Summer Sale
During the AliExpress Summer Sale, shoppers can access significant discounts on a wide range of products. Specifically, the platform is offering up to 80% off on selected items to help consumers secure upgrades at lower prices. In addition, the event focuses on improving delivery speeds and providing local payment options for a smoother shopping experience.
The timing of the sale aligns with seasonal demands as consumers look for practical upgrades for the summer months. Meanwhile, the platform continues to focus on reliability in delivery, returns, and customer service to maintain consumer trust.
Expansion of the Brand+ Channel
To support the sale, the platform is expanding its dedicated Brand+ channel, which originally launched late last year. This channel now features over 2,000 global brands across categories such as home, fitness, and electronics. Crucially, the channel provides official product authentication to ensure shoppers receive genuine items.
For shoppers in Saudi Arabia, the channel offers free shipping on orders over SAR 160. Additionally, free returns are available on eligible items to make shopping more convenient. This expansion aligns with YouGov data showing that 85% of surveyed consumers consider recognizable brands important, while 75% agree that a known brand name signals higher quality in Smart Devices and home appliances.
Local Payment Partnerships and Savings
To provide more payment flexibility, the platform has partnered with the Arab National Bank to offer extra savings and payment-led benefits. Moreover, shoppers can split their purchases into four interest-free payments using Tamara. This partnership provides greater financial flexibility for consumers making larger purchases during the promotional period.
“With shoppers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia looking for value, trusted choices, and products that fit their daily lives, AliExpress is making summer upgrades easier to access.”
