Saudi Aramco and its subsidiary Aramco Digital announced new Aramco AI agreements alongside cybersecurity partnerships during the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh. The energy company formed multiple pacts and memoranda of understanding with international and domestic technology firms to advance industrial artificial intelligence, localize modern technologies, and protect digital operations.

Expansion of Industrial AI Partnerships

The newly signed Aramco AI agreements focus on integrating intelligent computing directly into operational workflows. According to a report by Asharq Al-Awsat, the company plans to combine traditional engineering practices with advanced data science to raise efficiency across core energy facilities.

Amin Nasser, President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, stated that the conference provides a platform to build technical alliances. Nasser noted that the energy industry serves as a primary beneficiary of industrial artificial intelligence applications, expressing confidence that digital investments will support national industrial capabilities.

“Just as the energy provided by Aramco over 90 years contributed to driving the global economy, we hope that its digital investments will contribute to leading the Kingdom to become a leading nation in artificial intelligence.”

Strategic Pillars of Aramco AI Agreements

Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Aramco, outlined the strategic framework guiding the company’s technical initiatives. The framework rests on three main pillars: intelligence, trust, and scalability.

Al-Khowaiter stated that the company uses advanced computing to increase exploration and production efficiency, accelerate engineering workflows, and improve maintenance practices and worker safety. He emphasized that these technological tools serve to assist human industrial knowledge rather than replace it.

Strengthening Cyber Defense and Cloud Operations

In addition to software deployment, the initiatives address foundational technical infrastructure. The company plans to secure cloud environments, establish adaptable connectivity, and maintain digital ethics across all automated systems.

Building resilient operations remains central to protecting industrial assets against emerging threats. Consequently, Aramco aims to strengthen its corporate cybersecurity posture across critical digital pipelines while expanding regional telecommunications networks.

Outlook for Energy Sector Transformation

These technology alliances represent a sustained effort to align energy production with modern digital standards. As a result, the latest Aramco AI agreements are expected to support long-term operational resilience and drive broader technical modernization across the Kingdom’s industrial landscape.
