AVIXA has revised its schedule for InfoComm EDGE Dubai, moving the main conference from October 2026 to October 27-28, 2027, at the Festival Arena in Dubai. The decision follows consultation with regional partners regarding the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
The organization will host a curated, invitation-only EDGE Preview event in Dubai during the fourth quarter of 2026. This focused working forum will bring together senior decision-makers, end users, and AV industry stakeholders from government, enterprise, leisure, entertainment, education, and retail sectors.
EDGE Preview Format and Objectives
The EDGE Preview will operate as a collaborative forum where participants actively shape how integrated audiovisual technology can support regional recovery and growth. The event will focus on demonstrating measurable outcomes, including enhanced human engagement, improved productivity, and strengthened talent retention.
David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA, stated that the decision to postpone the full event reflects the organization’s commitment to ensuring maximum impact. “After close consultation with our partners in the region, we’ve taken a deliberate decision to move the full event to 2027 to ensure it lands with maximum impact, particularly at a time when government bodies are aligning investment decisions with long-term strategic priorities,” Labuskes said.
End User Council Participation
The InfoComm EDGE End User Council, a collective of regional organizations providing input into event design, now includes twelve confirmed participants. Members include Emirates Airlines, du, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Education Academy, Atlantis, Miral Asset Management, and Jollibee. These organizations will evaluate activations through the lens of enterprise and operational impact.
Regional integration firms have begun submitting design proposals for the event’s core activations, each focused on demonstrating how integrated audiovisual solutions perform in real-world environments and deliver measurable outcomes.
Regional Commitment and 2027 Planning
AVIXA emphasized its ongoing commitment to the Middle East market. “Our commitment to AV in the Middle East remains clear, and this approach ensures we remain closely aligned with the needs and priorities of the region at a critical time,” Labuskes added. The EDGE Preview this year represents a deliberate step to bring together the right stakeholders while shaping the foundation for the 2027 event.
The date and location for the EDGE Preview will be confirmed shortly, with a limited number of partnership opportunities available to vendor brands. AVIXA is the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, established in 1939, with more than 3,000 enterprise members representing over 20,000 AV professionals from more than 80 countries.
