CHERY Saudi Arabia hosted a media briefing in Riyadh on August 8, 2026, to outline its strategic direction for the local market. The event brought together media professionals and social media influencers from across the Kingdom. During the gathering, the company announced that its operations in Saudi Arabia will be managed directly through its subsidiary.
Meanwhile, all after-sales services will be overseen through a network of local distributors to be established in the next phase. This structural shift aims to strengthen engagement with local partners and consumers. Consequently, the brand plans to establish a direct presence to manage its growing footprint in the region’s largest economy.
Direct Operations and Local Distribution
Mr. Mark, Vice President of CHERY Middle East, attended the event alongside members of the local team. In his keynote address, he presented the global vision and future strategy for the region.
“We are committed to building a healthy and sustainable society by integrating technology with aesthetics, offering a new urban mobility option for consumers who value individuality.”

Global Sales and Research Infrastructure
Notably, the company’s regional ambitions are supported by its global sales performance and research capabilities. In 2025, the group recorded global sales of 2.8 million vehicles, including 1.34 million units exported. As a result, the manufacturer maintained its position as China’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the 23rd consecutive year.
Currently, the brand serves more than 20 million users across over 120 countries through approximately 3,500 overseas sales outlets. Furthermore, its global innovation network comprises eight research and development centers, more than 13,000 professionals, and over 300 laboratories. This infrastructure allows the company to develop technologies tailored to diverse climates and road conditions.

CHERY Saudi Arabia Technology Integration
The event showcased several of the latest models, including the TIGGO 9 and ARRIZO 8. Specifically, the company highlighted the CHERY Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, which is a plug-in hybrid architecture. This system combines electric driving with the flexibility required for long-distance travel, featuring a fifth-generation hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of up to 44.5%.
For the T9 configuration, the vehicle offers a pure-electric range of up to 130 kilometers under the CLTC standard. In addition, it features a combined driving range of up to 1,300 kilometers and fuel consumption of less than 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers. Advanced battery thermal management supports reliable performance across a broad range of temperatures.
Advanced Parking and Future Outlook
The briefing also introduced the Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) system, which addresses common parking challenges. This system is equipped with three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and one LiDAR unit. It integrates real-time environmental perception with an artificial intelligence planning algorithm.
As the automotive market in Saudi Arabia expands, younger drivers increasingly seek vehicles with distinctive design and digital connectivity. Therefore, CHERY Saudi Arabia is focusing on these priorities to develop its brand presence. The company plans to roll out its new distributor network and technology-driven models in the coming months.
