The meeting occurred alongside the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Arab nations. Additionally, it coincided with the release of the first book by Chinese President Xi Jinping commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Communist Party of China. During the China-Saudi Media Symposium, attendees examined professional exchange programs and technical training for journalists in both countries. Participants also reviewed the dimensions of the Global Governance Initiative, which President Xi Jinping introduced at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Tianjin. This project represents the fourth worldwide framework introduced by China, following earlier initiatives focused on development, security, and civilization.
Five Principles of the Governance Framework
Delegates evaluated the structural foundations of the proposed governance model. Discussions focused on the five primary concepts presented in the initiative:
