Cisco and Qiddiya Investment Company announced on April 28, 2026, that Cisco technology will power Qiddiya’s new smart office headquarters in Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter. The Cisco Qiddiya smart office combines networking, collaboration, and sensor solutions to create a workplace designed around human needs, aiming to attract talent while reflecting the brand’s operational priorities.
The facility houses a range of Cisco devices including Room Bars and Desk Pros to enable one-on-one and group collaboration. Open workspaces are organized to encourage creative work across breakout areas, meeting rooms, relaxation zones, and a dedicated social hub. Cisco Webex Boards in the lobby and boardroom function as welcome interfaces and digital whiteboards for presentations and brainstorming sessions.
Advanced Technology Infrastructure
The building operates on Cisco Wi-Fi 7 and Catalyst switches, delivering fast and reliable connectivity throughout the facility. Cisco air quality sensors and Meraki smart cameras monitor the workspace in real time, ensuring a safe and optimized environment. Room booking capabilities powered by Cisco Spaces and turn-by-turn indoor navigation allow employees and visitors to locate and reserve spaces efficiently.
“Qiddiya City is being developed as the world’s first city built for play, where entertainment, sports, and culture come together,” stated Abdulrahman AlAli, Chief Technology Officer at Qiddiya Investment Company. “We wanted our headquarters to reflect this ambition, combining efficiency with creativity and play that inspires our teams. Through our collaboration with Cisco, we are reimagining the workplace in service of Qiddiya City and Vision 2030.”
Workspace Design Philosophy
The office design reflects Qiddiya’s motto, “the power of play,” creating a space where employees can collaborate, create, and work with efficiency. The headquarters serves as a flagship location for the Qiddiya brand and is intended to attract leading talent to the organization. The facility began operations in February 2026.
Bader Almadi, Vice President of Cisco Saudi Arabia, said the partnership extends beyond technology deployment. “Together we’ve designed a human-centric, digital-first space that empowers teams to connect and innovate seamlessly,” Almadi stated. The deployment demonstrates how technology infrastructure can support organizational culture and employee experience.
